Tweet this comment Cancel Submit Comment Subscribe to None Replies All new comments Special to Sumner Newscow, by John Monro — Of the 1200 tickets were are going to sell for the raffle for Henry Big-Boy 30-30 Rifle, serial number 002, 800 are currently outstanding.  What this means is 800 tickets are now being sold by select sponsors around town and demand is running much higher than we anticipated.  Several sponsors have sold in excess of 100 tickets each, and we are issuing more tickets all the time to keep up with demand, but now we are at the point where we will only issue 200 more tickets account we want to hold back 200 tickets for sale during the week of the festival.  We will no longer be planning team selling at high traffic areas account we won’t have any tickets to sell.If current demand stays this high, we anticipate being sold out, save for the 200 for the festival, by the first week of June, if not before.  Currently, sponsors that still have tickets available are Vince Erwin Glass, Carroll Glass and Pig Shack BBQ, Impact Bank, at both Wellington and Caldwell, Bank of Commerce, Gold Corner, Smoker’s Choice, Rohrer Custom and Fabrication, Trigger Guard Shooting Range and Wheatland Services.  If you haven’t bought tickets yet and want a chance at winning this rifle, I urge you not to wait, because when they are gone, that’s it.  I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has purchased tickets, because you are the people who are making this thing work.  Without you, this whole thing would be four not.  Your tremendous support has been most overwhelming, and we can’t thank you enough.I’m working with some of the sponsors about having a rifle on display at their locations, for a week at a time, beginning the first week of June thru the Wheat Festival.  We are fondly going to call this “Where’s Henry?”We will notify the Newscow of the location prior to the weekend, so they can publish it in time for the next week.  This will give everyone a chance to view the rifles in person, instead of just a photo.  I will post any news about the raffle as it becomes available. Follow us on Twitter.last_img read more
