The actor and his buddies jetted off to the country for a week-long holiday on Sunday night.A source close to Varun revealed that on the to-do list is camping and attending training sessions of Muay Thai (a form of close-combat that uses eight points of contact in the body as weapons).”Varun, who is a sports enthusiast, wanted to do something different for his birthday this time and settled on learning the Thai sport, which is also known as the ‘art of eight limbs’ as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. The party will also explore beaches and the local cuisine,” the insider revealed.After the short getaway, Varun will resume shooting for Remo D’Souza’s Street Dancer 3D, which is touted to be the most expensive dance film that Bollywood has ever seen. The film also features Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhudheva in key roles.Initially, when Street Dancer 3D was announced, fans thought it would be the next installment of the ABCD franchise. However, director Remo D’Souza and producer Bhushan Kumar rubbished the news and said that though both are centred around dance, there are no similarities between them.Buzz is that Varun will be seen playing a boy from Punjab in Street Dancer, while Shraddha will be seen as a Pakistani dancer.
