Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, & St. Vincent Teaming Up For “Malibu Love Sesh” Benefit Concert In Hollywood

first_imgThree of the biggest names in contemporary rock music will come together and perform at an upcoming show benefiting victims of the horrific wildfires that recently engulfed southern California. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, and St. Vincent will all headline the “Malibu Love Sesh” benefit concert at the Hollywood, CA’s Palladium next month on January 13th. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Malibu Foundation, a charity which focuses on providing emergency relief and rebuilding the communities which were impacted by the Woolsey Fire, and destroyed a reported 1,600+ structures as well as killing three people back in early November.Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea shared a statement about their upcoming participation with the philanthropic event to his Instagram late Thursday night,We the Red Hot Chili Peppers are happy oh so happy and thankful that we can help out a little bit with those who lost so much in the Woolsey fire,” the bassist said in a lengthy statement. “The destructive effects of climate change are ongoing and will be difficult for us human beings to deal with. Love is the only thing that can help us. Love each other, love the earth, let’s be there for each other. Come on down and join us red hots, Beck, and St. Vincent and let’s put some energy into helping out those in need. The band’s drummer, Chad Smith, recently lent a helping hand as part of Will Farrell‘s “Best Night Of Your Life” benefit concert along with Jerry Seinfeld, Duff McKagan, and Brad Paisley at Hollywood’s Greek Theatre back in early October.The Malibu Foundation was co-founded by southern California resident and pop singer Miley Cyrus as an extension of her Happy Hippie Foundation, along with the help some of her famous friends and neighbors.Tickets for the one-night event go on sale this today at 10 a.m. (PST) here.last_img
