Love UK campaign highlights National Lottery’s contribution

first_img Love UK is a 12-day campaign to celebrate the scale of the money raised by National Lottery players for good causes. It was launched with a survey which aimed to find out what the public loved most about the UK and to highlight how many of these things are funded by Lottery players.According to the survey, UK residents love the history and heritage of their country above anything else. In addition we value our sense of humour above freedom of speech, and traditional roast dinners above takeaways.Thirty eight per cent of respondents said that it was the ‘history and heritage’ of the UK, which makes them feel most proud, and 24% rated the country’s ‘landscape and environment’ as top. ‘Culture’ was most important for 12%, and ‘sporting events’ for 7%.
