Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers have been one of the most-impressive teams in college football through two weeks. The Tigers get to test that fact in a major way this afternoon.Burrow, the former Ohio State backup quarterback, is set to play in his first huge SEC game. LSU is traveling to Auburn in a showdown of top 15 teams.ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum believes it’s somewhat of an elimination game in the SEC West.“It’s really important because, if you lose the game on either side, you’re done,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s First Take. “Because you still have to play Alabama in your league. You still have to play Mississippi State, which is good. They went on the road and beat Kansas State, which isn’t a bad win. You don’t survive this and have much of a chance unless you start knocking people off.”Burrow will need to have a big day for LSU to pull off the road upset at Auburn. He’ll be facing one of the best defensive lines in the country. Burrow will likely need to use both his feet and his arm.The former Ohio State quarterback has looked good so far this season. He’s thrown for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns, rushing for 34 yards and 1 touchdown.Burrow is doing well both on and off the field. The former Ohio State quarterback has posted some adorable photos of himself and his girlfriend on Instagram.“The first chapter was a pretty great one. Now it’s time to write the next one,” he wrote before heading to LSU.They’re a good-looking couple.Burrow told reporters earlier this week that he’s excited to play in his first big SEC game environment. Of course, he’s already been a part of some incredible atmospheres, playing at Ohio State.“If we go in timid and soft,” Burrow told reporters on Monday, “we’re going to get rolled in, Auburn Stadium? What’s it called?”“I anticipate this being one of the loudest (environments), and I’m excited for it,” Burrow added. “… I don’t think it’s intimidating to me.”Auburn and LSU are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
